The 2026 NCAA Division I postseason spans softball from May 15 through June 4 and baseball from May 29 through June 22. Sixty-four teams enter each tournament across 16 regional sites; the 16 regional winners pair into eight super regionals, and the eight super-regional winners reach the College World Series in Omaha or the Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City. Selection shows: NCAA Softball Sunday, May 17 on ESPN; NCAA Baseball Monday, May 25 on ESPN.

College World Series & WCWS Brackets
The 64-team baseball field plays into eight regionals, then four super-regional series, then the eight-team double-elimination College World Series in Omaha. Softball mirrors the format with the WCWS in Oklahoma City. Bracket pages go live the night of the selection show.

Regional & Super-Regional Tournaments
Sixteen four-team regional tournaments run for both baseball and softball during the first weekend of postseason play. Eight super-regional series follow the next weekend, with winners advancing to the College World Series or Women's College World Series.

Conference Tournaments & Auto Bids
Most conferences crown a tournament champion in the week before selection Sunday. Tournament winners earn an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament — even if their record otherwise wouldn't merit one.
