About the Tallahassee Regional
The Tallahassee Regional is one of 16 four-team double-elimination tournaments in the 2026 NCAA Division I Softball Championship. Florida State Seminoles earned the right to host after its regular-season performance, and plays at home throughout the regional weekend (May 15, 2026 – May 18, 2026).
Game 1 pairs the regional #1 seed against #4; Game 2 pairs #2 against #3. The two winners meet, the two losers play an elimination game, and the winner of the winners' bracket plays the winner of the elimination side. A team must lose twice to be eliminated.
The single team that survives advances to the Super Regionals (May 21-23), a best-of-three series against the winner of the paired regional. The eight Super Regional winners head to the Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City beginning May 28.
